Application of continuum constitutive model for fracture analysis of metallic foam with element-free Galerkin method

摘要
Element-free Galerkin (EFG) method is applied to solve the elaso-plastic fracture problems of aluminum foams under uniaxial tensile load. A continuum constitutive model is taken into account for the plastic compressibility of the material. The Weibull statistical analysis is used to represent its microscopic heterogeneity. Several examples are given to elucidate the values of J-integral versus relative density and Weibull parameters, of aluminum foams.
