摘要
The average annual precipitation is about 400-600mm in the black soil region of northeast China which has historically been rich in forest and grassland. However, these natural phenomena were severely decimated for the human migration and intensive cultivation occurred after the late Qing Dynasty. After humans moved into the region, several natural factors have emerged to cause accelerated erosion. This paper has analyzed the relationship between physical geography, human activity and soil erosion in the black soil region of northeast China. In fact, the black soil region has become one of the most critical regions in China for potential erosion because of the unique physical geography environment and the human activity. At present, the region is affecting severe soil erosion and at some places the parent soil material is exposed to the air. Soil erosion is more predominant in this place than anywhere else in China due to thickness of the black soil in this paper. We have developed some proposals for soil conservation and environmental mitigation for this place.
