Self-understanding of subject as the cognitive and existential problem

摘要：

The results of theoretical and empirical study of self-understanding as psychological phenomenon from the point of view of psychology of human existence are presented. In this study on the sample of 430 subjects two hypotheses have been confirmed. First, self-understanding is the complex psychological phenomenon, consisted of two components: cognitive and existential. Cognitive component reflects its cognitive aspect and existential - existential, reflected with understanding by someone himself in real situations of human existence. Second, psychological features in male and female subjects are different. Cognitive, situative-spcciric orientation more characterized females and existential one - males.
