Typhoon hazard assessment applying interior-outer-set model in Fujian province, China

摘要
The algorithm of interior-outer-set model was applied to calculate possibility-probability distribution of typhoon risk in Fujian province, China. County-level risk maps were generated based on maximum possibility-probability on three levels of risk probability. Regions with high value of low risk probability were distributed in the mountainous area in the west; regions with high value of the moderate risk probability were in the northeastern coastal region, eastern plain and basin areas; regions with high value of the high risk probability were concentrated on lower reach of main rivers. Typhoon disaster mechanism was concluded, which is beneficial to typhoon reduction in Fujian province.
