Orientation of the flux line lattice in anisotropic superconductors

摘要
Superconducting single crystals of La2-xSrxCuO4-delta (x=0.15 and 0.20) were studied by means of the vector magnetization technique. The effective mass anisotropy factors are estimated to be Gamma=100 and Gamma=2, respectively, for the two samples. A procedure is proposed to obtain the thermodynamic orientation of the flux line lattice from the irreversible magnetization. Direct evidence is reported of vortex penetration along the easy plane. The data agree with numerical results for a three-dimensional anisotropic superconductor.
