摘要
Skene's (para-urethral) gland adenocarcinoma is a very rare entity, with the first case described by Klotz in 1974; since then, only 14 more cases have been reported. We have presented a rare case of high-grade adenocarcinoma arising from Skene's (paraurethral) glands, with features similar to prostate adenocarcinoma, in a 71-year-old woman. She underwent excision of the urethra and anterior vaginal wall, with bladder neck closure and Mitrofanoff formation, with rectus flap interposition between the bladder and pelvic floor, for a urethral mass. Histopathologic examination revealed high-grade adenocarcinoma with strong prostate-specific antigen staining, arising from the Skene glands, with morphologic features similar to prostatic acinar adenocarcinoma. Paraurethral cancer has 3 histologic subtypes, and prostate-specific antigen staining can be seen only in some cases of clear cell adenocarcinoma. An early diagnosis with locoregional control is important in terms of the prognosis. (C) 2019 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
