INDICATORS OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF UNIVERSITY LIFE IN THE PERSONAL, SOCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS

摘要
Educational spaces are scenarios that promote the capabilities of individuals for their own performance. The impact of the university on students is reflected in the way in which they address problems from their professional discipline and the assessment of its impact on the social world. Given that the relationships of power, social roles, available resources and experiences within the university are exclusive to each group, the main objective of this research is to study the changes on a group of students, their family and their social environment due to the impact of university life. The study was carried out with 330 students from 21 different undergraduate programs offered at La Salle University at Bogota, Colombia, which began in the first period of 2015. Indicators of the transformations of students in the familiar, university and social dimensions were analyzed through Principal Components Analysis (ACP). Results provide important elements useful for the educational diagnosis and the design and implementation of institutional actions, this type of study allows an evaluation of educational management and can be applied by other universities.
