EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, WELL-BEING AND BULLYING IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION STUDENTS

摘要
Objectives. The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between emotional intelligence, wellbeing and bullying. Methods. A descriptive crosssectional study has been carried out with a sample of 444 students, 181 of Primary Education and 263 of Secondary Education. The TMMS-24 questionnaire (Fernandez-Berrocal et al., 2004) was used as instrument to measure Emotional Intelligence, and the "Questionnaire on Intimidation and Abuse between Equals" by Ortega, Mora-Merchan and Mora (1995), to detect bullying. The study was carried out in schools belonging to Santa Fe (Granada). Results. The results showed significant correlations between Emotional intelligence and well-being. Also between bullying and well-being, Emotional Intelligence between bullying. Discussion and conclusions. These results indicate a relation between well-being and Emotional intelligence and the importance of these psychological variables for the improvement of school life in the classroom.
