摘要
Au-Pd alloy octapods with the exposure of {722} facets are prepared via a seed-mediated process at room temperature. The size of the octapods can be controlled in the range of 25-120 nm by manipulating the addition of the amount of seeds. In catalyzing the electro-oxidation of formic acid, the as-synthesized octapods show substantially higher activity than commercial Pd/C. © 2014 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
