摘要
Thermoelectric generation (TEG) is an environment-friendly technology of power generation which can make good use of low-grade energy. Based on the analysis of thermoelectric generation theory and the summary of the thermoelectric generation technology and its application in solar thermal energy, the power output and the thermoelectric conversion efficiency of four types of thermoelectric generation system have been analyzed in this research. The testing temperature is between 40-240 degrees C according to the collector temperature of the solar collectors. The results show that TEP1-1264-1.5 can apply a maximum power output of 2.66W per module when the temperature difference (Delta T) between the hot side and the cool side is 145 degrees C. Other three types of TEG can respectively generate 2.01W, 1.04W and 1.25W. When the resistant load is suitable and optimal, the power output of TEP1-1264-1.5 is 1.61W. At this time, the thermoelectric conversion efficiency can be as high as 3.74%. The conclusions may provide many valuable data for utilization of solar thermal energy.
