摘要
Webpage segmentation involves segmenting webpages into demarcate segments. Our observation states that relying on the background implementation of the webpage may not improve the accuracy of the segmentation. Instead, using the front end information fully helps the segmentation process fully. In this paper, we propose the use of a visual method in segmenting web pages. This technology is developed to be visually intelligent - to interpret web pages through its visual knowledge rather than the contemporary method of processing information through employing the web pages' back-end implementation. The structure of the visually rendered page is ordered in a hierarchical manner. The proposed technique can also be embedded into other system which can benefit those with visual defects such as the elderly, visual impaired or even individuals with bad eyesight.
