Some practical tools for E-learning

The design, development and implementation of interactive E-learning resources can be expensive and time consuming. One way of minimising effort is to share resources and create an institute repository of reusable learning objects that can be exploited by colleagues and students from many disciplines. Here we demonstrate that, by using practical tools, such objects (including interactive Java applets, animation and video) can be practical and quickly produced on demand. It is also illustrated and argued that existing common tool sets of educators can often be practically exploited to create interactive teaching resources for E-learning.
