Optimization of Resource Scheduling Strategy in Video Grid

To solve the problems, such as load imbalance between servers and no consideration of user request, in the traditional resource scheduling strategy by the subject of server in video grid, a resource scheduling strategy by the subject of user request was proposed. Compared with the traditional scheduling strategy, this scheduling strategy makes decision on request information and dynamic load of servers to schedule user requests from each region. According to this scheduling strategy, corresponding scheduling model was built. Using operational research optimization and simulation software Xpress-MP to verify it, the results showed that the scheduling strategy by the subject of user request could avoid load imbalance effectively, enhance cooperation ability between servers, improve the resource utilization efficiency and guarantee the quality of video service.
