摘要：
Web-based College English teaching breaks through the traditional constraints of time, making it possible for teachers and students to communicate at a more extensive level. This paper discusses the features and advantages of web-based cooperative learning environments, identifies the pitfalls for social interactions, analyzes the reasons for the lack of social interactions and suggests some countermeasures to stimulate social interactions.
