Design of Virtual Instrument System for Ultrasonic Testing Based on Digital Oscilloscope

摘要
Based on a/d conversion of digital storage oscilloscope as well as its high sampling rate, a virtual instrument system for ultrasonic testing was designed in this study. The development of the system is based on LabVIEW software. The computer is able to communicate with the oscilloscope through RS-232 serial port in the oscilloscope. The measured waveform data is real-time transmitted to the computer. Thus computer may carry on analysis and processing to the gathering data through some software. Because of high sampling rate and large bandwidth, the system is especially suitable for acquisition of high frequency ultrasonic signals, processing and analysis on them. After some virtual operator panels for ultrasonic testing were made up on the computer windows through programming. Some inspecting functions for non-destructive testing, such as, localization for the flaw, quantity for the flaw and so on, could be realized quickly and accurately.
