摘要
Calculations of shear modulus, Poisson's ratio, Young's modulus and adiabatic compressibility for (GeS2)(x)(AS(2)S(3))(1-x) (x = 0 -1.0) glasses were performed in terms of the theory of covalent bonds developed by W. A. Harrison. The results were correlated with the values determined experimentally by the measurements of the velocities of longitudinal and shear ultrasonic waves. Quantitative agreement between theoretical and experimental mechanical parameters is obtained.
