摘要
The Pneumatic Flow Method is newly developed cement and soft clay mixing system. It is very useful to reclaim for a large-scale man-made island by recycling dredged soft clay. By using this method, soft clay can be mixed with relatively small amount of cement in a transporting pipe by mean of turbulent flow without the conventional mixing plant. This paper introduces the application of this method in the Central International Airport at Nagoya area. In this project, about 8.6 million cubic meters of cement treated soil were reclaimed by this method using dredged soft clay from Nagoya Port, during the 17-months. It was very large and rapid work, but the Pneumatic Flow Method could complete this work even through the very tough conditions.
