N-protected amino acids and ketooximes-modified dibutyltindichloride:: Synthetic strategy and structural aspects based upon spectral [IR,NMR (1H,13C & 119Sn)] studies

N-Protected amino acids and ketooximes - modified Bu2SnCl2 products of general formula Bu(2)SnAO, where AH= C(O)C6H4C(O)NCHRCOOH [where R = -CH3; -CHR- = -CH2CH2-; R = -CH2C6H5; R = - CH(CH3)(2)] and OH = (RRC)-R-1-C-2= NOH or (RC)-C-3 = NOH [where R-1 = R-2 = -CH3; R-1 = -CH3, R-2 = -C6H5; R-3 = -C5H10-; R-3 = -(C6H4)NHC(O)-] were isolated by the reactions of Bu2SnCl, with the sodium salts of N-protected amino acids and ketooximes in 1:1:1 molar ratios in anhydrous refluxing THE The plausible structures of these newly synthesized mixed ligand organotin (IV) complexes were proposed with the help of physico-chemical and spectroscopic studies. These N-protected amino acids and ketooximes- modified Bu2SnCl2 products possess pentacoordinated tin centres as inferred from Sn-119 NMR spectral data of some of these products.
