Neural network control of induction motor drives for energy efficiency and high dynamic performance

摘要
This paper describes the use of neural networks in maximizing the efficiency of an induction motor drive. Based upon the principle that the flux level in a machine can be adjusted to give the minimum amount of losses for a given value of speed and load torque, a neural network model is used to predict the optimal flux level in a vector-controlled induction motor drive system, achieving both high dynamic response and optimal efficiency. Simulation studies were performed on a vector-controlled induction motor drive.
