摘要
The aim of this paper is to analyze the tensions in contemporary art and its insertion in the exhibition spaces, observant to the transformations that occur in the field of art, especially those that lead to the metamorphosis and resignification of museums. A review of some themes related to museum fact was conducted, under lens of authors who discuss the development of art history, contemporary art and post-history art (for instance Hans Belting, Arthur Danto, Vilem Flusser, mainly) confronting them with some key concepts of museology, the emerging situations in the field of art, and the museum itself nowadays. It is pointed out that the museum ends up becoming a stage for all kinds of tensions present in the field of art today. The museums have been gradually turned into just a space where the consecrated and heritage art is presented for it to become a dialogical space where those values are reassessed. The museum, assuming itself as a critical space, for reflection on art, on the world and on itself, leaves behind its character of neutrality, in order to acquire a dialogical identity, thus being able to become a work of art itself.
