Thermally stimulated polarization currents (TSPC) of pristine PET/0.8PHB polymer liquid crystals have been studied at various polarizing fields ranging from 38.5 kV/cm to 153.8 kV/cm at continuous temperatures ranging from 20 degrees C to 250 degrees C. The charge transport phenomena, responsible mechanisms can be investigated by studying TSP current spectra of these polymer liquid crystals. The TSP current spectra consists of two maxima one at low temperature region and the other at high temperature region and a linear variation in the temperature region from 70 degrees C to 190 degrees C. The relaxation behaviour of this PLC is results from various mechanisms associated with crystalline and amorphous phases.
