摘要：
The Authors address a significant problem with sediment transport, given the large deviation between laboratory and field observations in sediment transport. Accordingly, their paper is a valuable addition to present knowledge. The purpose of the present discussion is to highlight the Authors' approach by a different formulation that allows insight in the governing mechanisms of sediment transport. Also, the effect of an additional parameter is questioned.
