Oscillator strengths of transitions in FeIII

摘要
We have undertaken configuration interaction calculations of several forbidden and fluorescent lines of astrophysical interest in Fe III. First, we examined some electric dipole transitions from the a(7)S(J) state to the two lowest P-7(J')o. We also study some other allowed transitions from the a D-5(J) ground state to P-5(J')o levels. We have extended these calculations to include intercombination lines of the form a(5)D(J)-(7) P-J'(o). Finally, we have obtained results for the a(5)D(J)-a(5) S-J' electric quadropole transitions. In all these results, comparisons have been made with previous calculations.
