Research on Technological Innovation Mechanism of Enterprise Clusters with Complementary Assets

Based on the theory of enterprise clusters and complementary assets, the operational mechanism problems existing in technological innovation of enterprise clusters with complementary assets are studied. Both the effects of various complementary assets such as complementary technologies, marketing capabilities, manufacturing capacity, and human resources in enterprise clusters and intermediary service organizations which offer assets for enterprise clusters like productivity centers, business incubators and trade associations, are analyzed. Policy recommendations have been made for the intermediary service organizations when offering complementary assets and conclude that complementary assets are an important component of technology innovation system in enterprise clusters and technological innovation performances can be enhanced by promoting enterprise clusters to share their complementary assets.
