Investigation of the angular distribution of photoelectrons in double ionization of atoms

This paper is devoted to the investigation of the angular distribution of photoelectron emission in double ionization of atoms. A specific feature of this problem is the presence of three particles: a doubly charged ion and two electrons in the final state. With the use of the formalism of irreducible tensor operators, an expression describing the angular distribution of electrons emerging from two-step ionization has been derived.
