A centralized/distributed model for information technology resources

摘要
This paper presents a model resulting from an effort to restructure information technology (IT) resources conducted at the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Florida (UF/IFAS). The purpose was to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of resources as the institutional clients move towards an information based society. The paper presents a distributed/centralized paradigm and its implementation at UF/IFAS.
