摘要
In this study, the Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)/Kevlar braided liner was used under accelerated life tests to shorten the cycle of the wear life test and study the tribological properties. Adhesive and abrasive wear is the main wear mechanism of the PTFE braided liner under normal wear state in the accelerated tests at different loads. Moreover, the critical load at which the failure mechanism changes is determined. As the load increases, the wear life of the PTFE braided liner decreases, and the adhesive wear of the liner is reduced, which leads to a decrease in the surface roughness of the liner and improves the self-lubricating performance of the liner. Different components of the liner surface cause different wear stages. Meanwhile, the parameters of the accelerated life test are estimated by the Weibull-Inverse power-law acceleration model, including several reliability indicators such as reliability, reliable life, and characteristic life at different acceleration stresses, which makes it feasible to implement the reliability analysis of PTFE/Kevlar braided liners within a certain range of conditions.
