摘要
A debate continues in North America regarding the amount of water used in producing energy. Some experts suggest that billions of gallons of water are used in producing certain quantity of energy in the region. It has been estimated that around 20% of California's water is used in producing energy. Operators of water and wastewater facilities across the country have reacted to theses issues by increasingly focusing on the use of various sources of renewable energy in operating their plants.
