摘要
To alleviate the adverse effect of the multipath fading, we need to estimate the required fading margin for the link budget analysis. Compared with the Monte Carlo simulations, the theoretical analysis can estimate the system performance more rapidly and precisely. This paper studies the outage performance for selection combining based on the generalized correlated Weibull distribution with arbitrary number of diversity branches and non-identical fading parameters. In particular, we propose an infinite series based cumulative distribution function of the Gaussian class Weibull variable and derive the exact closed-form outage probability. Numerical results show that the theoretical results in terms of closed-form agree well with the simulation results. Moreover, in the high signal-to-noise ratio regime, a simpler closed-form outage probability verified as an upper bound of the outage performance is developed. All these derived expressions can be calculated efficiently using a common mathematical software.
