摘要
The 1997 Visual Programming Challenge inspired the development of Altaira, a rule-based language for small mobile robots. This paper describes the original design of the language, the modifications made to render the language implementable in the time available, and further changes which became necessary as a result of experience with the language. The design of a more general second generation language is also introduced.
