摘要
The article offers an analysis of the economic, political, social and psychological causes of the rise of totalitarianism, taking Nazism as a model. First, it points out that German fascism cannot be explained without relating it to the colonialism of the hegemonic West. Secondly, the phenomenon is explained through the decadence of paternal authority within the bourgeois family and the subjective consequences that this entails on a massive scale. The text establishes a theoretical continuity between Adorno, Horkheimer and Lacan. Having Freud's psychology of the masses as a common basis, it attempts to be a sharp critique of contemporary capitalist domination.
