Accreditation, certification and testing in the European market

In most European countries accreditations are carried out by centralized bodies. While establishing a national accreditation system in Germany, however a sector-related structure was chosen to guarantee a high competence of the accreditation bodies. The German industry together with scientific-technical institutions has built up independent sector related accreditation bodies in order to ensure a high competence during the accreditation procedure. The experts in these bodies also elaborate technical rules for the assessment of technical competence.
