摘要
Coming into university can influence the habits of young people, contributing to the increased risk of disease. The objective of the study was to verify the effect of combined physical exercise on anthropometric measurements, body composition and biochemical tests. A study of 61 female students (18-25 years old) from a public university. Anthropometric evaluation, body composition and biochemical examinations were performed before and after participating in the activities of a combined exercise program. The data obtained in the two moments were compared to each other. There was a reduction in the values of perimeter of the neck and waist, in the neck/thigh ratios, waist/hip, waist/height and waist/thigh, in the glucose values, HDL, in the cholesterol/HDL ratio, and in adipose tissue, and increase in muscle tissue. The present study demonstrates the importance of offering physical activity programs in the academic environment, aiming at improving physical activity patterns and promoting current and future health.
