Radiation Characteristics of T-Shaped Conformal Magnetic Antenna Mounted in Fuselage of Large Aircraft

摘要
In the paper, T-shaped stealth ferrite magnetic antenna (MA) is investigated with help of finite element method. The antenna is conformally mounted on the carriers platform in the form of a flat platform or in the fuselage of large aircraft (LA) without fin. The antenna could be used for a distant radio communication on high frequencies. To simplify the construction of the antenna, a study of 2-port T-shaped MA with two cores having a multilayer structure is performed. Numerical investigation of influence of regimes of amplitude-phase excitation of the port MA on the directional properties and efficiency of the antenna is performed taking into account electromagnetic interaction of the antenna with the carrier platform. Radiation patterns and gain for the system "MA-carrier" are calculated for the frequency band 2 to 30 MHz for different excitation regimes of the antenna ports.
