US petroleum reserves: Adjustments, revisions and extensions show no trends over period 1988 to 1998

摘要：
There have been substantial improvements in upstream technology over the last two decades and the technology has been ever more widely employed in the petroleum industry. There was possibly a case for considering that there would have been a trend in the series by which LIS petroleum reserves figures are amended annually. No such trend appears to exist.
