Evaluation of the structural constant of the acoustic refractive index in the atmospheric boundary layer from the sound pressure measured in the shadow region

摘要
A new method to determine the structural constant of fluctuations of the acoustic refractive index C-n(2) in the boundary atmospheric layer is suggested. It is based on the measurements of sound pressure in the region of reflection shadow. An algorithm to calculate sound pressures in this region is discussed. A measurement procedure for C-n(2) is described and experimental results of its application in field conditions are presented.
