摘要
The article mainly discusses the primary school's English teaching based on the pupils' need analysis. Firstly, the article makes a brief introduction of the latest development and research on need analysis and explains the significance of the study. Then, the article gives the defmition of need analysis in the following study which includes both the objective needs and the subjective needs of the learners. The next comes to research methods and data analysis. The articles selects some pupils from three primary schools in Jinan as the subjects, distributes 180 questionnaires and collects the 148 valid ones. Based on the findings of the survey, the article sets forth the strategies to the primary school's English teaching. The suggestions mainly include the following aspects: the development of the teachers' training, the construction of the textbooks, the optimization the teaching contents and methods and the external environment construction of English teaching.
