摘要：
The puffer fish Lagocephalus guentheri Miranda Ribeiro, 1915 is a new invader species to the Eastern Mediterranean, through the Suez Canal. It was recorded for the first time from Syrian coastal waters (Levantine Basin, Eastern Mediterranean). Two adult specimens were caught on 30 November 2016 by trammel net at a depth between 3 and 50 m. Morphometric and meristic data were reported and compared with other congeneric species.
