摘要
To demonstrate the potential value of a diamond detector as a neutron spectrometer on KSTAR, simultaneous measurements of the KSTAR deuterium-deuterium (D-D) fusion neutron energy, and time-dependent neutron emissions were performed with a diamond based neutron spectrometer during the 2018 KSTAR D-D plasma campaign. For the work, the diamond based neutron spectrometer was placed on a viewport located at the midplane of port P outside the KSTAR vacuum vessel. The results of the work not only demonstrated the satisfactory performance of the diamond detector in the harsh environment of a mixed neutron-gamma high radiation field, and strong electromagnetic field, but also its applicability as a neutron spectrometer for fusion deuterium-plasma experiments.
