On generalized open sets and decompositions of continuity

摘要：
In the last ten years or so a method has developed whereby generalized open sets have been used to obtain decompositions of continuity. This paper surveys this method with particular reference to two of the most important forms of weak continuity, namely quasi-continuity and near continuity.
