An optimal algorithm of multi-sensor image fusion based on wavelet transform

摘要
A wavelet-based optimal algorithm for image fusion is proposed to solve the problem of keeping spatial and spectrum information at the same time. Multi-spectral image of low frequency and high resolution image of high frequency are enhanced through wavelet transform respectively beforehand. Then, they are fused. The proposed method optimizes the traditional wavelet transform fusion techniques. The experimental results of merging images data of different SAR and TM of the same object are presented. It is shown that this approach reduced blocking effects while held actively spectrum information.
