Study on the low-NOx combustion technology of Bunsen flame

The NOx (NO, NO2) emissions from domestic gas appliances greatly contribute to indoor air pollution, and the manner of partly pre-mixed combustion are taken by most of the domestic gas appliances. Therefor, to study the Bunsen flame and realize the low-NOx combustion of it is very important for reducing the pollution caused by the domestic gas appliances. A series experiment show that put insert on Bunsen flame of water heater with LPG is very effective, and we observed a 34%similar to 72% reduction of the NOx emissions. We also find that different size and location of the insert will affect the NOx emission significantly.
