摘要
This paper presents a substrate integrated image guide (SIIG) transmission line based on the normal PCB technology. Air holes are cut directly on a metallized PCB, so that this kind of SIIG offers better fabrication reliability and lower assembly cost. However, these holes caused unwanted leakage loss. To overcome this problem, the width of the guiding channel should be chosen carefully. Then, a leaky-wave antenna fed by the synthesized SIIG is proposed. The antenna has achieved a gain of 10.8 dBi at 13.8 GHz.
