Effect of sprinkler irrigation and drip irrigation on nitrate content in several vegetable crops grown in loose sandy soils under contrasted rainfall conditions

摘要
Effect of drip and sprinkler irrigation on the nitrate content in vegetables grown on loose sandy soils was investigated. Irigation decreased the NO3 content in edible parts of vegetables. In a wet year vegetables had lower nitrate contents as compared to those in a dry year. Particular squash and zuccini cultivars were characterized by the differentiated nitrate content.
