摘要：

Currently, the world is hit by the most serious financial crisis of the past 80 years. The main financial institutions together with developed countries' governments, are required to take an exceptional series of decisions, decisions which could minimize the possible devastating effects on the economy and citizens. The European Union budget is the most important tool that influences the amount of expenditure and income related to the policy objectives of the Community. In this paper we try to find the main effects that the current financial crisis carries on Budget's construction and forecast the evolution of the most important indicators calculated based on the European Union budget for 2009.
