Rule-based Petri-net modelling and scheduling of manufacturing systems

摘要
A Rule Based Petri net (RBPN) modelling and scheduling scheme is proposed in this paper. The proposed method merges the simple If-Then rules (rule base) which describes the higher level decision into the PN modelling. The rule base represents the static aspect of the system, while the PN represents the dynamic aspect. To model a more realistic manufacturing system and to solve a general scheduling problem (e.g., zero-waiting [5]), a modified timed PN definition is introduced. PN modelling of manufacturing systems and the development of the RBPN software tools are presented.
