摘要
Studies of the results of state tests of the level of media and higher education conducted by the Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (ICFES) in Colombia, have shown that students have low levels of competence in language skills, specifically in reading comprehension and oral and written expression. In this context, the presentation presents the results of the research project Training in Reading Processes and Academic Writing for the Improvement of Linguistic Competencies in Children's Pedagogy Students of the Regional Vice-Rectory Bogota Sur, whose objective was to design a transversal proposal of training in processes of reading and academic writing that enhances the development of linguistic competences in professional training. Based on the mixed, descriptive design that the research assumed, the results and proposal for the development of linguistic competence in university students are presented.
