摘要
The goal of this paper is to present a new cooperative computing module (commercially patented(1) as OSless(TM) [9]) that can be applied to the domain of embedded system design. In this paper, the authors address hardware and software issues, to embed the operating system (OS) into the hardware and develop independent clusters (OSless(TM)) that might build up the next generation of computers with unmatched performance and differentiation for new smart products. Each of these cooperative modules have specific microprocessor cores working in specific task providing the power and flexibility needed to meet increasing consumer demand for new and more sophisticated features. A preliminary performance assessment is presented about the general properties of the Osless(TM) designs dealing with matrix operations.
