摘要
Doubly fed induction generator is mostly preferred in wind energy generator for its numerous advantages. The straight connection of stator with the grid makes the machine more sensible to grid disturbances. The consequences of the disturbances make the system unstable and force disconnection of generator from grid. To safeguard the system, various schemes is being depicted. Amongst various fault ride-through scheme, fault current limiters schemes claim the most successful ride-through schemes. So discussion is needed for evidence accessibility for current researchers. Several fault current limiters were applied for DFIG are categorized and discussed comprehensively. The advantages and disadvantages of various schemes are enumerated. The effectiveness of these schemes is also conversed. The research is helpful for the reference of current researchers working in this field.
