A novel grounding fault-location system for radial feeders

摘要
A novel system for single-phase grounding fault location of radial feeders is developed based on information fusion, S injection method and network analysis. Measuring current at the origin of each branch of a radial network detects a peculiar signal injected at bus-bar and determines effective value of fault current by signal processing. Fusing the information through GSM SMS(short message) module from all branches locates the fault branch. The proposed system is superior to the traditional fault line selection devices in the combination of accurate fault line selection and fault branch location, low price, high liability of data and simple maintenance. It has already been verified by a great number of simulation tests and will soon be employed at Electric Power Corporation of Hunan Province in China.
